1. What Linesmith is
Linesmith is a sports statistics and research website and app. It shows historical results, player and team statistics, projections and rankings, and the prices that sportsbooks publish for upcoming games. It lets you keep your own notes and records of bets you have placed elsewhere.
Linesmith is not a sportsbook and does not take wagers. We do not hold your money, place bets for you, or pay out winnings. Nothing on Linesmith is an offer to bet, and a link or a price shown for a sportsbook is not an endorsement of it.
2. Research, not betting advice
Linesmith publishes statistical projections and rankings. They are estimates, not predictions of what will happen. Nothing on Linesmith is financial advice, investment advice or betting advice, and nothing is a recommendation to place a wager or a claim that any wager is profitable. Projections are built from historical performance and are wrong routinely. Past results do not indicate future outcomes. You alone decide whether to place any bet, and you are responsible for the decision and for any loss. 3. Who may use it

4. Your account
You need an account to save things and to subscribe. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may refuse, suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms.
5. Free and Premium
- Free shows the research and, for odds, prices that are [15 minutes] behind and a limited set of sportsbooks.
- Premium adds live prices from every sportsbook we show, the best-price and sharp-price markings, edges, alerts and the other features described on the upgrade page. Features can change; we will describe the plan accurately on that page.
6. Subscription, free trial and billing
- Price. Premium costs $10 per month [plus any applicable tax]. [LAWYER: tax handling; whether the price shown includes tax; a price change process.]
- Free trial. New subscribers may start a 7-day free trial. You must give a payment card to start it. You will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the card is charged $10 when the trial ends and the subscription then renews automatically every month. One free trial per person: we may check for repeat trials (for example by the card or the email used) and end a repeat trial straight away.
- Automatic renewal. Premium renews every month at the then-current price until you cancel. We will remind you by email before the first charge [3 days] before the trial ends. - Price changes. We may change the price with at least [30] days' notice by email; the new price applies from your next renewal, and you may cancel before it does.
7. What you may and may not do
You may use Linesmith for your own personal research. You may not: copy, scrape or systematically download Linesmith's data or pages by automated means; resell, republish or redistribute Linesmith's data or projections; share, publish or give others your Premium access; reverse engineer the service; interfere with it or probe it for weaknesses; use it to break the law; or upload anything unlawful, harmful or that you have no right to upload. 8. What you give us
You may record bets, notes, pins, tracked lines and uploads (such as a screenshot of a bet slip). You keep ownership of what is yours. You give us a licence to store and process it to run the service for you [and, in anonymous aggregate form, to improve the service]. Information on Linesmith is compiled automatically and may be delayed, incomplete, out of date or wrong, including prices, lines, statistics, injuries, projections and results. Prices shown may differ from the price a sportsbook offers you. Always check the sportsbook before you bet. We do not promise that any figure is correct or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Our property
Linesmith, its design, text, software, projections and compilations are ours or our licensors'. These Terms give you only the right to use the service as described. Sportsbook names and logos belong to their owners and appear only to identify them.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. [LAWYER: state-by-state limits on disclaimers.]
12. Limit of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS, OR FOR ANY LOSS FROM BETS YOU PLACE, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF [THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM / $100]. 13. Indemnity
